"Lulled by the wine world since our childhood, it was an obvious choice to take over the vineyard from our parents, Joëlle and Fernand, when we were growing up.

Our father bought the Domaine in 1975. Domaine which was used for a breeding farm. In 1980, they planted 2 hectares of vines in the commune of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne. Then each year, 5 hectares were planted until 1997, to give birth to the vineyard located on the communes of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, Rauzan, Lugasson and Blasimon.

In 1984, they created the winery by completely renovating the estate. The winery is composed of concrete vats and underground tanks. Then in 1987, a warehouse was also created in order to have the necessary space for bottling and labeling. At that time, our parents decided to no longer only sell their wine to the negociants but to make the fruit of their hard work their own range.

The Domaine du Vignoble Merlet then begins its climb.

As children, we naturally decided to help our parents in all the wine-making tasks we could undertake, driven by their passion.

Once our viticultural studies are over, and our life as young adults has begun, we take over a few parts of the estate each on our own by expanding the vineyard.

In 2011, the time has come for our parents to entrust us with the torch. 

And so our story begins. "
